There are no links to this page yet, we could land this now and then publish an update to the front page when we actually push the release.

Besides the release announcement I reformatted the 'setup' instruction to a single line.

Maybe mention other companies, or at least "and other companies"... ?

  1. I think list of version and major feature are supposed to be a bulleted list, but at least on the staging repo page they are coming through as one big ball of text without line breaks.

    1. ! how did I not notice that !

distributions implies a python distribution (e.g. the interpreter and site packages) to me - maybe s/distributions/applications/ ?

hmm, not sure I fully understand where 'pip' comes into play in this - an outsider might assume that we use 'pip' for resolution in pants itself, which isn't true.

    should this be s/PIP/Pex/?

    I'd leave this as:

Today Pants ships with support for working with:

    - Python
    - Java
    - Scala

    Official plugins additionally support:

      - Go
      - NodeJS
      - C and C++
      - Android

This may be too nitpicky, I'm gettin ghung up on ships-with and imagined bug reports.

    • There are three spaces before 'The tool' and an extra space after the paren:

      "html) . The tool"

    • I would also change the last link to the contributors page - it is what you are referencing and they already know about the docs page since it is hosting the announcement.

    • Maybe also use twitter-commons name? And perhaps a link, if you want.

It doesn't technically ship with C/C++... I don't think the plugin was ever enabled for publishing.

    1. Was that an oversight? Should we enable it?

    2. It was intentional at the time, because the contributor didn't think it was ready for prime time.
