  1. I've only configured a restful server in the past, and it isn't on now, so I can't attest that these instructions are all correct.

    One further bit of documentation that would be useful is explaination on how to introduce a bit of security around the REST commands (PUT and DELETE), I believe using .netrc files.

    Is this accurate? If it gets 200 for HEAD it will PUT? Is it supposed to read that it calls put for either 404 OR 200? Or just 404 maybe?

    IMO we should encourage using an off-the-shelf server like nginx -- HTTP servers are a relatively solved problem but everyone writing there own is bound to have a couple people make mistakes.

    We could potentially also include an example nginx config, or just mention inline that the dav_methods PUT DELETE; directive is likely what they're looking for.
