I've only configured a restful server in the past, and it isn't on now, so I can't attest that these instructions are all correct.
One further bit of documentation that would be useful is explaination on how to introduce a bit of security around the REST commands (PUT and DELETE), I believe using .netrc files.
IMO we should encourage using an off-the-shelf server like nginx -- HTTP servers are a relatively solved problem but everyone writing there own is bound to have a couple people make mistakes.
We could potentially also include an example nginx config, or just mention inline that the
dav_methods PUT DELETE;directive is likely what they're looking for.
